The Chaotic Life

“I don’t have a life,” she said.

I’ve heard that more times than I can remember. So perhaps having a chaotic life is better than having no life. Wait one.

“No!” he silently screams.”It’s not.”

“I don’t understand,” he said. “Just last week we bought plants and we’ve not planted them yet.”

“I haven’t decided where they are going,” she replied.

“Why do you want to buy more plants, then,” he asked. “It doesn’t make sense to me.”

“I know it doesn’t make sense,” she said.

There are plants in pots in the yard in back, beneath the trees. There are yews, and camellias, and mondo grass. They’ve been there two years. There are Lenten roses that have been watered daily all summer, still in pots awaiting planting.

“It still doesn’t make sense,” he said. No one was listening.

A chaotic life is a life awaiting order. A chaotic life is a nightmare from which one never really awakens. A chaotic life sucks. Big Time.

Some call it the primordial soup. Before the Earth, the planets, the sun, and Heaven, there was chaos. It was not good. But G-d Who created the universe had a plan. He created Heaven and Earth, all the plants, all the animals, and He looked at it all and said it was good. Then He created a man and a woman. A male and a female. Distinctly human. Perfect.

God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. Genesis 1:31

“Very Good,” said G-d. There was order now. Goodness. And G-d walked in the Garden with the Man, called Adam. The man He’d created from the dirt He’d created out of the chaotic firmament.

An Ethiopian man once told me the story of creation.

“God mounded up the dirt,” he said, “and put it in the oven, to bake. When He pulled it out it was very black. So he sent that man way down south. He tried again. This time he took the clay out sooner, and it was chalk white. He sent that man way up north. The third lump of earth God  baked and got it just right. A perfect brown. He put that man in Ethiopia, the most perfect place on Earth.”

All things come to an end. Even things declared “very good.” The traditional Biblical story of creation tells of Eve’s seduction and sin against G-d. And, of course, Adam’s complicity in that sin.” The human’s first couple got their eviction notice, and were tossed out of the Garden to fend for themselves. It wasn’t exactly back to the days of the primordial soup, but it was big change as chaos again took hold.

It’s been a chaotic life ever since. Not just families are affected, but communities, states, nations. Chaos seems to reign unbridled. Seems to reign. It doesn’t. G-d’s still in charge. But we have such incredible free will we are allowed to continue propagating chaos on Earth. We do it in small ways, and in big ways. From the way we speak to each other, to the way we make war with other peoples.

Nevertheless, there is a time coming in which it will end. There will be at long last peace on Earth.

Today in America we celebrate T H A N K S G I V I N G. I am thankful for the times of joy I experience despite the seemingly endless chaos on Earth. I am most thankful to a gracious and just G-d who offered His Son, Y’shuaJesus, that we might not die a permanent death, but once my Earthly life comes to an end, I am swooped into the loving arms of my Creator, and live forever in His Peace. I am grateful to you, dear friends, for all you do in pursuit of justice and righteousness while there is still daylight, before darkness engulfs us, before the long night comes.

Lord Bless, Keep, Shine. . .

  1. We know Wil from the Account of Creation in Genesis although Light was Created on the first Day the Sun was not Created until the 4th day and it is one reason why we know for sure we could not have evolved over Millions of years or the Universe either. God always had order but yes as you shared Wil, not so with Carnal Mankind, they messed up and still do, that is for sure.

As for being put in an Oven, an interesting idea but imposable, Eve needed Adam’s rib and we all have the same pigmentation anyway but it shows differently according to our D.N.A which God allotted to us by His will and foreknowledge at Creation.

How wonderful that we won’t experience the darkness of the long night like unbelievers, will the Rapture or First Sickle as it is called in Revelation ensures us of this.

Wil I was wondering if you have shared how and when you became a Christian, do you have links you can share with me, it always gives me Joy to know how God works in our lives to bring us to Him.

    1. Yes, of course, Anne, we know Adam was not baked in an oven. He was formed from the Earth. Red clay. But our Creator breathed life into him. It’s just a story. It’s suppose to be fun but point to other things, other truths that are believed for various reasons. I don’t know why I included it, I just like the story, I guess. No implication I hope that I believe it to be Biblical fact.

No link to my salvation. . . yet. One day perhaps.

      1. I received an E-mail Wil that said God puts us in an oven when He molds and shapes us and than watches us burn but yes with a tear in His eye but the Fire He uses is The Holy Spirit and it’s all about Love not heat.

But of course Satan seeks to burn us alive but God protects our Souls and we walk in Victory so Satan is defeated and flees, he hates goodness, but we know his tricks anyway so we are not deceived.

Looking forward Wil to you sharing about your Salvation.

        Blessings – Anne.

      2. Hey, Anne, I guess that’s one way of looking at our maturation in the LORD. . . I think an oven might be better than the Fiery Furnace. Really glad Y’shua is walking with us. Believers and UnBelievers alike go through trial that resemble cooking in an oven. We have Y’shuaJesus Who has gone before, and walks with us. Thank You LORD. Amen!

      3. Yes Wil we are afflicted but our Trials and Temptations that are painful or lead to pain are not from God as the Scriptures below confirm but we do reap the evil we sow until we come to our senses and repent and Satan controls this world so he afflicts us through motivating his followers to hurt us.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Yes Jesus is with us as you shared Wil and He is with us all the way and confirms that the Battle is His.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

      4. It really saddens me Wil that people do not know God’s Heart of Love for us but then nor did I before I asked for God’s Wisdom and Empowering. He does not willingly afflict us or allow us to suffer as I shared before with the confirmation of the Scriptures below but life happens or we are tested by Satan or we Sin and so do others and they hurt us. Would anyone deliberately plan to hurt the Children they Love, if they do then they don’t know what the Rod of Correction really is or how God disciplines and chastises us in Love and for Love.

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

Jesus said in this world we will have trouble but He did not say He will cause it but He did say He will be there when we are afflicted,

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid for I have ransomed you I have called you by name you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD your God The Holy One of Israel your Saviour.”

So let’s look at who does cause suffering…

1John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

People need to stop blaming God Wil for the evil that happens to them, He is Love and can do no evil or does He allow it willingly, He tolerates it not wanting anyone to perish.

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

One thing that is very misunderstood is Job, even though he had the Holy Spirit working in his life, Pentecost had not happened yet, so He was not indwelt or sealed, his family and friends like him id not know God as we do now 1Corinthians2:9-16 but even with not understanding and being in great emotional and physical pain, Job did not curse God or turn away from Him like his wife wanted him to do, although wrong in her grief, I have always felt sorry for Job’s wife, she had just lost all her Children and her home and her husband was suffering too. God reassured Job firmly later when he started to have doubts and fear, that all He created and did was good but God knew He would keep Job strong to the end as He does with us and He also restored to him double what he and his wife had lost.

Satan had the right to put Job to the test and this is the same with us Wil, he also tested Jesus and the Disciples and we see this very clearly in Scripture with Paul too but God will always protect our soul and give us the strength to endure and also keep us strong to the end and this is His promise and He never breaks a promise.

We remember Paul and Silas in prison, believe me they were not Happy Clappy but who comforted them later, when we can Praise God from the heart in times of testing and affliction, it is The Holy Spirit who is keeping our spirits soaring but it is not always straight away that we can do this, suffering is never pleasant that is why God gave us emotions and tears and we are to cry with those who are hurting and help carry their load.

As Satan tests us Wil, we continue to Trust Jesus to give us the Victory in all the trials of life. Why does God not end all evil, He will but He is patient not wanting anyone to perish. The Scriptures tell us to say that God does evil to bring good out of it is slander but He does bring good out of evil, sadly many Scriptures are misunderstood and so the Picture of God is distorted.

1 Peter 4:12-13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, in as much as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be
1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

      5. A parent loves only imperfectly, while our Creator loves perfectly. Yet even with imperfect love, a parent disciplines his children. It is with perfect love that our Creator considers our soul of vastly more importance than our physical environment. Our Creator disciplines those whom He loves. . .

      6. God does not contradict Himself Wil He tells us He does not afflict us or cause us to grieve but yes He does discipline us by letting us reap the evil we sow like the Prodigal Son did which separates us from Him until we come to our senses and repent and then Wow what a welcome Home.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.
