“Good luck, man,” he said as his friend walked out the door on his way to a job interview.
“Thanks, I need all I can get,” the man responded.
Why not hand over a rabbit’s foot, or a shiny coin, or a some other memento thought to bestow some power upon the bearer.
“It’s just an expression,” someone might answer. “Like asking ‘How are you?’ There’s no expectation of anything actually happening when wishing a person ‘Good luck.’ ”
Then why do folks bother to say, “Good luck!”?
“If we get together, think peaceful thoughts,” a woman once told me, “we can create peace. We can change the world.”
Is that like saying we are sending happy vibes to a person who’s feeling sad, or depressed?
It is my opinion, and I have a right to it, there is no such thing as luck. Yes. I’m a Luck Denier. Send me of the a re-education camp. Wait. Not today.
“Someone special will come into your life tomorrow,” my fortune cookie told me last night after dinner. (JK: Just Kiddin’)
Seriously, have you ever looked up the definition of “Luck”?
1. the force that seems to operate for good or ill in a person’s life, as inshaping circumstances, events, or opportunities:
With my luck I’ll probably get pneumonia.
2. good fortune; advantage or success, considered as the result of chance:
He had no luck finding work.
3. a combination of circumstances, events, etc., operating by chance to bring good or ill to a person:
She’s had nothing but bad luck all year.
“The Force be with you!” Oh kaaaaaay.
The root of it all goes far beyond meaning, control, or hope; it goes to our inhumanity. Yes. Inhumanity. We were human once, and young (1).
And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Genesis 2:25
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 2:16“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

One thought on “Luck Denier”
I agree with you about Luck Wil, it originated in England and was used in connection to Gambling but I have heard some say it comes from the name Lucifer but not sure about this although Gambling is in his playground.
The Bible does mention Chance as a reality but only God knows the future so all else such as fortune cookies and the Daily Stars or Horoscopes, Astrology etc come from Satan’s lies.
As we know Wil all Christians are to Aim to be Perfected in Love (Matthew 5:48 – Hebrews 6:1-Philippians 3:14-16 -2Timothy 3:17-1John 4:16-19- 1John 2:4-6- 2Corinthians 13:11) and this is for now not just when Jesus returns or we go to Heaven. We are to put our Carnal flesh to Death by The Spirit (Romans 8 :12-15- Romans 6 -Colossians 3:4-6 -Galatians 5:24 -26) so we don’t Sin and we can’t if we have God’s Seed not Adams as confirmed below.
1 John 3: 1-11 ( 9 ) No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s Seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.
Sadly Wil a lot of Churches today don’t share these Truths even though they are confirmed in Scripture and were taught in the Early Church, no wonder so many Trust in Luck and other things of the Occult instead of Jesus our Lord and Saviour and our only Spiritual Teacher and with Him being One in The Godhead with The Father and Holy Spirit, we never have to fear that whatever we encounter in Life that we are going it alone, He is always with us (Isaiah 43:1-3 ) and in all things God will work everything out for good in our lives. These are wonderful Truths aren’t they Wil.?
We will no longer Sin……….
1John 3:2 -7 Whosoever abideth in Him Sinneth not: whosoever Sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children let no Man deceive you, he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous even as He is Righteous.
1 John 3: 1-11 ( 9 ) No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.
1John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins but He who was Born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him.
John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth everyone who Sins is a Slave to Sin. Now a Slave has no permanent place in the family but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you Free you will be Free indeed.
Romans 6:6- 7 For we know that our old self was Crucified with Him so that the body of Sin might be done away with that we should no longer be Slaves to Sin because anyone who has died has been freed from Sin.
Romans 6:18-20 Being then made Free from Sin, ye became the Servants of Righteousness.
1 John 2:4-6 He that saith I know Him and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God Perfected hereby know we that we are in Him He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk even as He walked.
1John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made Perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as He is so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love but Perfect Love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him because He first Loved us.
Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto Perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises dearly beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit Perfecting Holiness in the fear of God.
Daniel 12:10 Many shall be Purified and made White and tried but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the Wise shall understand.
